Well, Dr. Saad Saad is of Palestinian origin. As a man who was born during the 1940’s, this was a very tough era since many Palestinians were being forced to relocate. While Dr. Saad Saad was just but a young man, his father decided to travel for work, and his mother, in turn, was forced to board a bus with her children; the destination to which the bus was headed was unknown. The family was relocated to the West Bank, and they later reunited after Dr. Saad’s father parted with huge amounts of money while in pursuit of his family.


To cut a long story short, Dr, Saad Saad’s family was undergoing tough times while in the diaspora. Nevertheless, Dr. Saad was always motivated by his father. He was always taught that education could unlock many doors. With that as the case, Dr. Saad knew that he had to pursue formal education. Nevertheless, he did not know which course he would undertake when the time came. As events would unfold, Dr. Saad one day visited his brother at a construction site. The scorching sun led to Dr. Saad having a heat stroke which resulted in him fainting. Since then, Dr. Saad knew that outdoor labor wouldn’t suit him. Because the only place with a controlled environment is the operation room, Dr. Saad Saad decided that he would become a pediatric surgeon and he worked hard to make sure that he has achieved his goals.




From one of the lessons that Dr. Saad Saad puts across, it is clear that once you set a target, you shouldn’t rest till you achieve it. It’s all about hard work and resilience. Moreover, at times, giving up is never an option.
